Statements from Chancellor Robert C. Khayat and Alice Clark

Statements from Chancellor Robert C. Khayat

“I congratulate the Board of Trustees for selecting Dr. Dan Jones as the preferred candidate for chancellor of the University of Mississippi. Dr. Jones has a distinguished record of teaching, medical practice and research. On top of that, he has provided extraordinary leadership for our internationally respected health care complex and medical school in Jackson.

Also, his selection as president of the American Heart Association is an indication of the level of respect he enjoys from his medical colleagues across the nation. He also is a man of impeccable integrity. For all these reasons, I believe he is the perfect choice to lead the University of Mississippi.”

Statements from Alice Clark, chair of the campus Search Advisory Committee, and UM vice chancellor for research and sponsored programs
