OXFORD – A senior majoring in public policy leadership was the University of Mississippi’s first finalist for the prestigious George J. Mitchell Scholarship. Chelsea Caveny of Hattiesburg recently traveled to Washington, D.C., for a final interview for the award, which funds one year of graduate study at any university in Ireland or Northern Ireland.
ED NOTE: Caveny was one of 12 students in the nation who received one of this year’s Mitchell Scholarships. The winners were announced Nov. 22.
