UM Alumni Association: More States Offering Ole Miss Car Tags

Georgia, Alabama to start selling UM plates soon, Washington D.C. started selling them earlier this year

The University of Mississippi Alumni Association reports a growing number of U.S. states are now selling UM car tags and more states are set to allow drivers to show their Rebel pride.

“Ole Miss alumni and friends who live in Tennessee, Texas and Washington, D.C., currently have the opportunity to purchase an Ole Miss affinity license plate, with Georgia joining that list in March and Alabama expected to follow soon thereafter,” the Alumni Association says.

Ole Miss plates were first sold in Texas in September 2009 and 181 plates were sold on the first day. Since, more than 600 plates have been bought in Texas, the Alumni Association says. Washington D.C. started selling UM plates in January. Georgia will start selling them March 1.
