Annual Springfest Sunday in the Grove to Feature Sister Hazel and Matt Wertz

OXFORD, Miss. – The annual Springfest concert Sunday (April
20) at the University of Mississippi is expected to rock
the Grove Stage with music by Sister Hazel and Matt Wertz.

“We are excited to have both Sister Hazel and Matt Wertz in
the Grove this weekend,” said Bradley Baker, program
coordinator for the Department of Campus Programming. “We
are also looking forward to having Oxford residents and Ole
Miss students Mayhem String Band, the Aaron Hall Band and
Hardy Farris as well. We think it will be a great show.”

Starting out in the bars of a college town, Sister Hazel
has been successful creating their own style of music. The
musical group from Florida combines alternative rock, folk
and Southern rock. Their best-known hits include “All For
You,” “Change Your Mind” and “Champagne High.”

Singer-songwriter Matt Wertz released his first album,
“Somedays,” in 2001. Since then, his songs have been
featured on the television show “Brothers and Sisters” and
in the movie “My Super Ex-Girlfriend.” His new record,
“Under Summer Sun,” is scheduled to be released next
month.

Sponsors of the event include the Student Programming
Board, Department of Campus Programming, Beta Upsilon Chi,
the Associated Student Body and 92.1 FM Rebel Radio.
