Mississippi Supreme Court Chief Justice Addresses Incoming Law Students

Law OrientationMississippi Supreme Court Chief Justice James W. Smith addresses the class of incoming law students at the UM School of Law fall orientation and James O. Dukes Professionalism Program Thursday (Aug. 21) at the Gertrude C. Ford Center for the Performing Arts. Students later split into groups with distinguished members of the state bar for discussions on legal ethics and professionalism. Dukes, a former president of the state bar, established the program 10 years ago to emphasize the importance of integrity and civility and professionalism in the law profession.
