OXFORD, Miss. – A Boston College law professor plans to
discuss the failure of corporate law during a Nov. 1
lecture at the University of Mississippi.
Kent Greenfield, professor of law and law fund research
scholar, speaks at 1 p.m. in the Lamar Law Center’s William
N. Ethridge Jr. Moot Court Room.
Greenfield teaches and researches in the areas of business
law and constitutional law. His publishing includes journal
articles in the Yale Law Journal, Virginia Law Review,
Boston College Law Review, George Washington Law Review and
Tulane Law Review.
He authored the book “The Failure of Corporate Law” and is
the founder and president of the Forum for Academic and
Institutional Rights. He received his undergraduate degree
from Brown University and juris doctorate from the
University of Chicago.
UM law dean Samuel M. Davis said Greenfield’s lecture
promises to be informative and interesting to people from a
variety of fields.
“Professor Greenfield is an outstanding scholar and one of
the most widely quoted and influential spokespersons in the
field of corporate reform in the country,” Davis said. “We
