Desmond Smith is a senior at Ole Miss. He’s from Tupelo and joined the military the semester before he graduated high school. He didn’t walk across the stage with his graduating class. He will be 28 in November. He was deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan and was a navy corpsman for a Marine combat unit.Read the story …
