OXFORD, Miss. – Two meetings have been scheduled to advance the Board of Trustees of State Institutions of Higher Learning’s search for the next University of Mississippi chancellor.
– Tuesday, May 5, at 3 p.m. in the Lyceum, Room 200
UM’s Search Advisory Committee members will meet with Parker Executive Search consultants to review and discuss all candidate resumes and identify no fewer than five names to forward to the IHL’s Board Search Committee for possible interviews.
The advisory committee also is expected to announce which of its members will join the IHL Board’s search committee throughout the remainder of the interview process. This representative group will be referred to as the Interview Search Advisory Committee.
An executive session may be held during this meeting in accordance with the Open Meetings Act.
– Friday, May 8, at 1 p.m., via Teleconference
The combined Board Search Committee/Interview Search Advisory Committee will discuss candidates and related issues via teleconference. Members of the public or press may attend this meeting at the IHL Board Room at the Universities Center in Jackson or Lyceum, Room 308 on the UM campus.
An executive session also may be held during this meeting in accordance with the Open Meetings Act.
The UM Search Advisory Committee was formed by the IHL Board to assist with its search for Ole Miss’ next institutional executive officer. The committee is chaired by Alice Clark, vice chancellor for research and sponsored programs. For a list of the campus committee’s members, click here .
