Community Yard Sale Scheduled Saturday

OXFORD, Miss. – One man’s trash is another man’s treasure at a community yard sale Saturday (March 7) at the University of Mississippi.

Sponsored by the Panhellenic Council and the Office of Greek Life, the sale is set for 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the Student Union Plaza.

“We are really excited about the yard sale and are looking forward to a great turnout, which will enable us to make a wonderful donation to the Oxford Medical Ministries organization,” said Jenny Naylor, a junior psychology major from Jackson.

The community yard sale is an annual event that begins Greek Week activities. All proceeds go to Oxford Medical Ministries, which serves the medical needs of the working uninsured in the area by providing professional and compassionate care.

Donated items can be taken to the Phi Psi fraternity house, at 376 Fraternity Row, until 6 p.m. Friday (March 6). All UM fraternities and sororities are donating items, as well as helping on the day of the sale.
