OXFORD, Miss. – Ten University of Mississippi students join an elite group of scholars and leaders when they are admitted to the UM Hall of Fame in a public ceremony at 4 p.m. Jan. 30.
Held in the Gertrude C. Ford Center for the Performing Arts, the annual public event also serves to recognize the UM students featured in the latest edition of Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges.
Selection to Hall of Fame is one of the university’s highest honors. Membership into both Hall of Fame and Who’s Who is based on academic achievement, service to the community, leadership in extra-curricular activities and potential for continued success.
Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges has become one of the most highly regarded and longest-standing honors publication in the nation. Honorees are chosen from among students at some 1,900 institutions of higher learning in all 50 states, the District of Columbia and several foreign countries.
