OXFORD, Miss. – The University of Mississippi’s India Association
invites the Lafayette-Oxford-University community to experience Indian
culture during annual India Night Saturday (April 18) at the Ford
Center for the Performing Arts.
Beginning at 5 p.m., festivities include an authentic cuisine dinner, fashion show, and music and dance performances.
“First-time attendees can expect a fun-filled journey through culture and taste of India with colorful costumes, vibrant beats and spiciest cuisine,” said Babu Lal Tekwani, India Association president.
Tickets are $5 and can be purchased through the UM Box Office in the Ole Miss Student Union. They also will be available at the door.
“With the overwhelming response received not only from the students, faculty and staff on campus but also from the local community, this event has been possible through generous support from different university organizations, local businesses and patronage from the UM International Program Office,” Tekwani said.
