OXFORD, Miss. – Students from around the globe plan to
gather Sunday (Nov. 11) to share and learn during
International Night at the University of Mississippi.
Hosted by the International Students Organization, the
event is set for 7 p.m. in the Gertrude C. Ford Center for
the Performing Arts.
Admission is $10, with tickets to be available at the door.
They also can be purchased in advance at the Central Ticket
Office in the Student Union or by calling 662-915-7411. The
first 150 people to show their tickets and be admitted to
the program get a free ISO T-shirt.
The event features dances and other performances, as well
as a fashion show, said Melanie Graupner, a UM geology
major from Germany and ISO event coordinator.
Graupner said the best part of International Night for her
is interacting with people from other cultures.
“I enjoy meeting new people, so this is, for me, the ideal
event to get to know people from other countries,” Graupner
said.
