Oxford Piano Trio Sets Free Concert Feb. 11

OXFORD, Miss. – The Oxford Piano Trio, a University of Mississippi faculty ensemble, is set to perform chamber works Thursday (Feb. 11) in a free concert.


Oxford-Piano-Trio.HB-0733-0Featuring works by Johannes Brahms, Aram Khachaturian, Ingolf Dahl and John Mackey, the concert is set for 8 p.m. in Nutt Auditorium.

The Oxford Piano Trio includes Stacy Rogers on piano, Robert Riggs on violin and Susan Gaston on cello. Guest clarinetist Michael Rowlett also joins the trio for its only campus concert this season.  

“We are excited about performing this colorful and very international program,” Riggs said.

Founded in 1988, the trio has performed more than 60 works from standard classical literature. Featured on the Mississippi Arts Commission’s Touring Artists Roster, the ensemble has played in Europe and North America.
