UM Hosts Employee Benefits Fair Monday

September 14 | 10 AM - 2 AM | Student Union

OXFORD, Miss. – The University of Mississippi Department of Human Resources is hosting a benefits fair Monday for all university employees in the Student Union Ballroom.

The event, set for 10 a.m.-2 p.m., gives faculty and staff an opportunity to meet with representatives from UM insurance plans and retirement programs, on-campus services and external agencies. It is an information-only session, so no enrollment forms will be taken.

The fair provides opportunities to explore all the benefits available and helps employees prepare for the annual Open Enrollment, which occurs during the month of October. Those who attend will also be eligible for door prizes.

Representatives from the State Health Plan, Delta Dental, Davis Vision, UNUM (life insurance) and Southern Administrators & Benefits Consultants (flexible spending accounts) will be on hand to answer questions. You can also visit with representatives about long-term disability and cancer/dreaded disease policies.

Financial advisers and retirement plan specialists from VOYA, VALIC, TIAA-CREF, Mississippi Deferred Compensation and the Mississippi Public Employee’s Retirement System are prepared to discuss investment opportunities and speak with you about planning for the future.

Staff from university departments and associations, such as Staff Council, Speech & Hearing Center, Independent Study Program, Employee Assistance Program and the Division of Outreach and Continuing Education, will also participate in the event. Organizers encourage attendees to remember to seek out representatives from external agencies, such as the Mississippi Federal Credit Union and Social Security Administration.
