Jackson, Miss. – The Mississippi Board of Trustees of State
\nInstitutions of Higher Learning’s search committee for the next
\nchancellor of the University of Mississippi plans to meet with various
\nUM constituency groups Feb. 17, beginning at 7:45 a.m.<\/p>\n
The purpose of the meetings is to learn what qualities UM groups are
\nlooking for in their next chancellor, so they can be included in the
\njob description for the position.<\/p>\n
Board President Amy Whitten of Oxford is chairing the search committee.
\nServing with her are trustees Stacy Davidson of Cleveland, Bob Owens of
\nJackson, Aubrey Patterson of Tupelo, Alan Perry of Jackson, Christine
\nPickering of Biloxi and Doug Rouse of Hattiesburg.<\/p>\n
Most of the listening sessions take place in Ballroom Sections C and D
\nat The Inn at Ole Miss. Exceptions are noted below. All meetings are
\nopen to the media.<\/p>\n

* 7:45-8:45 a.m.: Vice chancellors and athletics director, breakfast session (McMillan Boardroom)
\n* 9-9:45 a.m.: Deans, associate vice chancellors and associate deans
\n* 9:45-10:30 a.m.: Alumni Association board members
\n* 10:30-11:15 a.m.: Assistant vice chancellors, assistant deans,
\nacademic and non-academic department chairs, department heads and
\ndirectors
\n* 11:15 a.m.-noon: Faculty Senate
\n* 12:15-1:10 p.m.: Foundation board members, lunch session (Ballroom Section A)
\n* 1:15-1:45 p.m.: Staff Council and professional and support staff
\n* 1:45-2:30 p.m.: UM Medical Center faculty and staf
\n* 2:30-3:15 p.m.: General faculty
\n* 3:15-4 p.m.: UM alumni, community leaders and general public
\n* 4-4:30 p.m.: UMAA Foundation board members (McMillan Boardroom)
\n* 4:30-5 p.m.: Undergraduate and graduate student leaders and general student body<\/p>\n
