OXFORD, Miss. – The tale of Camelot comes to life Tuesday (Nov. 24) at
\nthe University of Mississippi through a musical theater production that
\npromises adventure, suspense and romance.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

\nThis production of the classic “Camelot” is set for 8 p.m. in the
\nGertrude C. Ford Center for the Performing Arts. The show was created
\nby the acclaimed team of Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe, who are
\nalso created the classic musical “My Fair Lady.” The production of
\n“Camelot” is on a national tour and is produced by Moonglow Productions.\n<\/p>\n

\nThe production offers something for a broad range of theater-goers, said Norman Easterbrook, Ford Center director.\n<\/p>\n

\n“The story portrays a certain innocence of the human condition
\nthat has warmed the hearts of audiences for decades,” Easterbrook said.
\n“Some of the great tunes of musical theater are found in this work. ‘If
\nEver I Would Leave You,’ ‘I Loved You Once in Silence’ and others are
\ntimeless musical numbers that speak to the heart. ‘Camelot’ is a
\nfeel-good musical of broad appeal.”\n<\/p>\n

\nStudents and faculty who are participating in the Ford Center’s
\nCultural Passport Program will have access to the Cultural Cafe during
\nintermission and following the performance. Cultural Passport holders
\nmay also have the opportunity to visit with cast members.\n<\/p>\n

\nTickets range from $30 to $40 for various seating options and
\nare available by calling 662-915-7411, by visiting the UM Box Office in
\nthe Student Union from noon to 4 p.m. or the Ford Center Box Office
\nfrom 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays, or online at http:\/\/www.olemiss.edu\/depts\/<\/wbr>tickets\/order.htm<\/a>.\n<\/p>\n
