OXFORD, Miss.<\/strong> \u2013 Ole Miss women\u2019s tennis senior Abby Guthrie<\/a> was named to the Southeastern Conference All-Tournament Team, which was announced following the championship match here Sunday.\u00a0 Guthrie was one of six named to the team.<\/p>\n

Guthrie won her singles match in straight sets against Vanderbilt to set up freshman Erin Stephens\u2019 match-clinching win at No. 3 singles.\u00a0\u00a0 The Rebels advanced to the SEC Championship semifinals for the third time in four years.<\/p>\n

In the semifinals against Florida Guthrie and teammate Kristi Boxx<\/a> had a match point to clinch the doubles point before losing in a tiebreaker.\u00a0 In singles, Guthrie was in a third set at No. 5 when the match was clinched by the Gators.<\/p>\n

Guthrie improved to 18-5 in dual matches, 14-2 at No. 5.\u00a0\u00a0 She has won 11 in a row.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
