OXFORD, Miss. – The University of Mississippi Student Dietetic Association is hosting a series of events to coincide with National Eating Disorders Awareness Week.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The association plans to distribute free information on healthy eating and eating disorders at the Student Union Tuesday and Wednesday (Feb. 16-17). In addition, dietetic intern Megan Robinson will present information in several UM sorority houses about eating disorders.<\/p>\n

On Feb. 22, the student group hosts a public screening of “America the Beautiful,” a documentary about America’s obsession with beauty. Door prizes will be awarded, and the association is raising money for the 2011 program, which is to include a charity walk\/run and a national speaker.<\/p>\n

National Eating Awareness Week, which takes place the week of Feb. 21, is sponsored by the National Eating Disorders Association.
