Adrian Wiggins<\/a> has been selected as one of 30 coaches to attend the Women\u2019s Basketball Coaches Association\u2019s (WBCA) fourth session of the Center for Coaching Excellence, held today through Wednesday on the campus of Columbia University in New York.<\/p>\nThe CCE, a joint project of Columbia and the WBCA, is an invitation-only, elite leadership program. The inaugural two sessions were held in May and June 2011. To date, 85 college women\u2019s basketball coaches have completed the two-and-a-half day curriculum.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Center for Coaching Excellence is a tremendous honor and opportunity not only for me professionally but for Ole Miss women\u2019s basketball,\u201d Wiggins said.\u00a0 \u201cIt\u2019s a chance for us to grow and be in a national spotlight. They only invite two sessions with the top 30 coaches that they pick as far as developing leadership skills and really trying to influence the game of women\u2019s basketball. We are going to be around some really high-quality leaders that are going to teach us about leadership skills and I\u2019m extremely excited about it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Utilizing collaborative and interactive learning sessions and panel discussions featuring experts in college athletics and women\u2019s basketball, the CCE provides college women\u2019s basketball coaches with valuable networking opportunities with their peers and top industry leaders.<\/p>\n
