OXFORD, Miss. \u2013 Oxford residents can play golf while supporting health at a Men\u2019s Wellness Fair, set for 7:30-10:30 a.m. June 24 at the Ole Miss Golf Course.

The course will provide a free cart with a paid round of golf and discounts on walking rounds for those attending the fair. The course will also offer other golf giveaways and door prizes for men. The event is co-sponsored by Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in recognition of Men\u2019s Health Awareness Month.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are providing our facility in order to partner with the community and people who are interested in health to help promote men\u2019s health,\u201d said Gerald Barron, manager of the Ole Miss Pro Shop. \u201cWe\u2019ve already had a pretty good response, and it should be a good time.\u201d<\/p>\n
Baptist Hospital will provide health screenings for men. Blood work, which includes a full lipids profile, is $20 and PSA level screening is $25. Other exams, such as blood pressure, weight, height and more, are free.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe hope all men, young and old, will come out to celebrate Men\u2019s Health Month,\u201d says Melinda Gordon of Baptist Hospital. \u201cIt\u2019s really going to be a fun event.\u201d<\/p>\n
