The Alumni Association is offering premium, private tailgating space for the Ole Miss football season in the Stark Family Garden for all 2012 home games.<\/p>\n

The Stark Family Garden, a green space located at The Inn at Ole Miss between the hotel tower and the swimming pool, serves as a premium\u00a0tailgating\u00a0arena for all home football games.\u00a0The $1,500 fee is a tax-deductible gift to the university. This fee includes the service of setup, takedown and storage of one 10\u2019x10\u2019 tent, eight folding chairs and one 8\u2019 table for each home game. A banner bearing the participating tailagter’s last name will be placed on the tent.<\/p>\n

“Since the Alumni Association owns the equipment, there is no need to bring anything to campus other than food and beverage and whatever you would use to decorate the table,” said Port Kaigler, the program’s coordinator. “The restrooms in The Inn are very close to this area and are open to participants and their guests.”<\/p>\n

The tailgating area is just a few steps away from the Alumni Association’s members-only area in the Triplett Alumni Center. This space is reserved for dues-paying members of the Alumni Association and features multiple TVs showing other SEC football games, freshly popped popcorn, Papa John\u2019s pizza, soft drinks, water and coffee. All members get in free, and all food and beverage inside is free. Game day stickers are also available. Guests of active members $15 per person. Children high school age and under MUST be accompanied by an adult active member. The members-only area closes one hour prior to kickoff.<\/p>\n

Reserved tailgating spaces are limited and available on a first come, first served basis. To reserve your space for the 2012 season, contact Port Kaigler at 662-915-1874 or port@olemiss.edu<\/a>.<\/p>\n
