OXFORD, Miss. – What do a laptop computer, video projector, clarinet, tuba and an accordion have in common?
The answer is Mark Snyder.

<\/p>\n

The multimedia composer visits the University of Mississippi on Tuesday (April 20) to reveal how he uses these five items together to create musical adventures. The free performance is set for 8 p.m. in Nutt Auditorium.<\/p>\n

A Delta State University music production and technology professor, Snyder is both a composer and performer who orchestrates his work using live instrument processing, prerecorded sounds and video. His compositions have been described as “rich, spacious, emotionally resonant” and “a fantastic and colorful sonic journey of musical storytelling.”<\/p>\n

Snyder has performed throughout the United States, Argentina, Europe, New Zealand and Taiwan, and has written for orchestra, choir, wind ensemble, various chamber combinations, multimedia, theater, film and dance.<\/p>\n
