\nOXFORD, Miss. Piano duo Diane Wang and Stacy Rodgers \nFor their upcoming concert, they have chosen works for two \nWang, music instructor and coordinator of the keyboard
\nperform a free, public concert Monday (Sept. 17) at the
\nUniversity of Mississippi.
\n<\/span>\n<\/p>\n
The 8 p.m. program in Nutt Auditorium of Scruggs Hall
\nfeatures the two music faculty members who have been making
\nmusic together since before their marriage in 1983. Since
\nthat time, they have presented recitals throughout the
\nMidwest, South and Southwest. Their programs offer an
\nintriguing blend of standard four-hand and two-piano
\nrepertoire, as well as new works by contemporary
\ncomposers.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n
\npianos by American composer and Pulitzer Prize-winner
\nWilliam Bolcom, plus works by Spanish Romantic Isaac
\nAlbeniz, tango sensation Astor Piazzolla and jazz giant
\nDave Brubeck. They will end the program with a
\n“barn-burner” by modern Polish composer Witold
\nLutoslawski.

\nmusicianship curriculum, received degrees from Indiana
\nUniversity and the University of Texas at Austin. She
\nperforms recitals and plays as a soloist with orchestra,
\nincluding performances throughout America and in China and
\nMexico.
