Miss University Caroline Conerly<\/p><\/div>\n

OXFORD, Miss. – An annual trunk show featuring Miss University showcasing her wardrobe and talent in advance of the state pageant was held July 2 on the Ole Miss campus.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s show featured Caroline Conerly who is preparing to compete in the Miss Mississippi Pageant in Vicksburg beginning today (July 10). Conerly showcased everything from her interview dress and swimwear to her evening gown. Conerly also performed her talent, \u201cThe Jewel Song\u201d<\/em> from Charles Gounod\u2019s Faust.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

The trunk show also gave Conerly an opportunity to host a silent auction benefiting her platform, the Mississippi Alliance for Arts Education. Since becoming Miss University, Conerly has helped raise over $10,000 for the MAAE.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis trunk show will help me prepare for the Miss Mississippi pageant by allowing me to wear the competition wear on stage,\u201d Conerly said. \u201c(It) also helps me feel the love and support from my family and friends.Since being crowned Miss University, Conerly has volunteered at Willie Price Nursery on campus and has also been very involved in promoting MAAE. The Miss Mississippi pageant will take place in Vicksburg beginning today and ending Saturday.
