\nOXFORD, Miss. The United States Air Force Band of
\nMid-America performs Friday (Oct. 5) at the Gertrude C.
\nFord Center for the Performing Arts.<\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\nThe free 8 p.m. concert is part of homecoming week at the
\nUniversity of Mississippi.
\n<\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\nTickets are required and can be obtained at the UM Box
\nOffice in the Ole Miss Student Union, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., or
\nby calling 662-915-7411.
\n<\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\nNorm Easterbrook, director of the Ford Center, said it is a
\nprivilege for the Ford Center to have been selected as one
\nof the few venues in which this “fine performing arts
\ninstitution will appear.”
\n<\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\nThe U.S. Air Force Band has endeared itself to millions of
\nlisteners for more than 60 years through its exhilarating
\nmusic. Since its formation in 1941, the band has brought
\nsuperb music and exciting entertainment to music lovers
\naround the globe, earning its reputation as America’s
\nInternational Musical Ambassadors.
\n<\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\nThe program includes selections from a broad variety of
\nmusical genres, from classical and jazz to country and
\nrock. This will be a spectacular performance, a treat for
\nthe entire family and should not be missed, Easterbrook
\nsaid.
