The day before a home game, everyone gets excited because the Grove is dotted with red and blue trash cans. What are even more important, though, are the recycling bins set out with those trash cans. Recycling on game days is an easy and effective way to enhance the Grove experience by contributing to the efforts of the Green Grove Initiative. In any of the recycling bins \u2014 or in any of the green bags passed out by Green Grove representatives \u2014 be sure to deposit empty plastic bottles, aluminum cans and Solo cups. Make sure to exclude glass, liquids and food from your recycling bags.<\/p>\n

If students want to get further involved, they can sign up to become Green Grove representatives here<\/a>. Volunteers are needed for both game days and recyclable sorting efforts on the following Mondays and Tuesdays.<\/p>\n

For the SE Missouri game, Green Grove volunteers helped to collect and sort one ton of recyclables, and that was just the beginning of the season! By recycling on game days, you can ensure the Grove remains a sustainable and lasting experience for future Rebels.<\/p>\n
