The Nutcracker begins on Sunday, Dec. 14.<\/p><\/div>\n

OXFORD, Miss. \u2013 Dance Alive National Ballet<\/a>, a professional dance company from Gainesville, Fla., brings the classic Christmas production of “The Nutcracker” to the University of Mississippi’s Gertrude C. Ford Center for the Performing Arts<\/a>\u00a0this season for a performance Sunday (Dec. 15).<\/p>\n

The performance is set for 7 p.m. Tickets range from $39 to $50, depending on seating, and are available online at\u00a0http:\/\/www.FordCenter.org<\/a>\u00a0or by calling the University Box Office at 662-915-7411.<\/p>\n

“This performance showcases the talent of international, award-winning dancers, which makes this family-friendly ballet even more of a treat during the holiday season,” said Kate Meacham, marketing director for the Ford Center. “A number of local children are also performing as extras, providing an incredible opportunity for young dancers to interact with professionals who enjoy sharing their craft with the next generation of performers.”<\/p>\n
