'Million Dollar Quartet'<\/p><\/div>\n

OXFORD, Miss. \u2013 On one magical afternoon in December 1956, music legends Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins came together for the only time and recorded an impromptu jam session at the famed Sun Records in Memphis, Tenn.<\/p>\n

Through the Tony Award-winning Broadway hit “Million Dollar Quartet<\/a>,” that recording is being brought to life onstage at the University of Mississippi’s Gertrude C. Ford Center for the Performing Arts<\/a>. The Ford Center will present the national Broadway tour performance at 7 p.m. Feb. 11.<\/p>\n

This thrilling musical brings the audience inside the recording studio with four major talents who came together as a red-hot rock ‘n’ roll band for one unforgettable session. Relive the era with the smash-hit sensation featuring an incredible score of rock ‘n’ roll, gospel, R&B and country hits, performed live onstage by world-class actors and musicians.<\/p>\n

“Million Dollar Quartet”<\/em>\u00a0features familiar hits, including “Blue Suede Shoes,” “Fever,” “That’s All Right,” “Sixteen Tons,” “Great Balls of Fire,” “Walk the Line,” “Whole Lotta Shakin’ Goin’ On,” “Who Do You Love?” “Matchbox,” “Folsom Prison Blues,” “Hound Dog” and more.<\/p>\n

The Broadway production of “Million Dollar Quartet” premiered in April 2010, and received three Tony Award nominations. Levi Kreis won for best featured actor. The musical has been performed in London, off-Broadway and on numerous stages around the country.<\/p>\n
