One hundred percent of the proceeds go toward student programming, including activities such as scholar trips, monthly group dinners and leadership training.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWithout the Rose Society, the scholars would not have the quality or quantity of programming that is given to them,\u201d said Mary Ann Frug\u00e9, Women\u2019s Council chair.<\/p>\n<p>Rose Society members are presented the opportunity for involvement in mentorship-leadership programs and invited to all of the Women\u2019s Council events as well as an annual signature event limited to Rose Society membership.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Rose Society was formed to give the council a means of communicating information about the Women\u2019s Council \u2013 its mission, its impact, its needs,\u201d Frug\u00e9 said. \u201cSharing scholars\u2019 stories of their experience of the Women\u2019s Council is inspiring and motivates others to contribute to this program that is making a difference in the lives of the scholars.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In the inaugural year, the society attracted 33 donors. The second year\u2019s roster more than doubled to 74 members.
