The Quad at Ole Miss<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n

Way back when I was a student here at Ole Miss, we could drive to the J.D. Williams Library. No, I\u2019m not talking about turning up the Y off Rebel Drive and letting your friend out by the Lott Leadership building. I mean we could drive all the way up to the edge of the back of the library and even park there after 5 p.m. That all changed the year I graduated, which was 2000, if you must know.<\/p>\n

The construction of the Paris-Yates Chapel began then (completed in 2001) as well as the construction of the Quad. The parking lot was converted to green space and included the placement of the Phi Mu fountain. As a side note, recently the SistahSpeak! organization has started to turn the water in the fountain pink during October for breast cancer awareness month.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Ole Miss is known for the Grove, but the Quad is, in my opinion, the second best spot to relax on a sunny day.
