\nOXFORD, Miss. – High school juniors and seniors in the
\nJackson area are invited to meet University of Mississippi
\nrepresentatives Tuesday (Oct. 16) at the Mississippi
\nAgriculture and Forestry Museum’s Sparkman Auditorium on
\nLakeland Drive in Jackson.
\n<\/span>\n<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

\n“An Evening with Ole Miss” is scheduled for 6:30-8 p.m.
\nRepresentatives from the offices of Admissions, Financial
\nAid and Student Life plan to speak briefly on topics of
\ninterest to freshmen and transfer students.
\n<\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\nRepresentatives from the Sally McDonnell Barksdale Honors
\nCollege, Croft Institute for International Studies and
\nStudent Housing, as well as from various academic
\ndepartments, will also be on hand to answer questions and
\ndistribute information about their programs.
\n<\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\nAdvance registration is not necessary. Refreshments will be
\nserved and door prizes awarded.
\n<\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n“This event will be a fun opportunity for students and
\ntheir families from the Jackson area to receive information
\nabout Ole Miss,” said Chelsea Welch, regional admissions
\ncounselor. “While this event can’t beat the experience of
\ntouring our beautiful campus, we hope that bringing a piece
\nof Ole Miss to these students will encourage them to visit
\nOxford and the university.”
