\nOXFORD, Miss. – The University of Mississippi Student
\nAlumni Council is presenting the fifth annual installment
\nof “Bridging the Gap: Ole Miss’ Past and Present Working
\nTogether for the Future,” a networking forum for UM
\nstudents.
\n<\/span>\n<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

\nThe forum is set for 3-5 p.m. Friday (Oct. 19) in Nutt
\nAuditorium of Scruggs Hall.
\n<\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\nThe award-winning program includes a panel discussion in
\nthe first hour followed by a reception, which offers
\nstudents one-on-one networking opportunities and quality,
\nin-depth discussions concerning career goals.
\n<\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\nAttendance by Ole Miss alumni, friends and Oxford
\nprofessionals offers students a chance to make connections
\nwithin their chosen career fields. The focus of the forum
\nis not on “job seeking,” but rather “answer finding,”
\nallowing students to set benchmarks for success.
\n<\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\nThe panel includes successful Ole Miss alumni, such as
\nEdward G. Bryant, lawyer and former Tennessee congressman;
\nDixie Carter, president of TNA Entertainment; Donnie
\nKessinger, president of Kessinger Real Estate; Angela
\nMcGlowan, president of Political Strategy and Insight;
\nRivers Rutherford, a Nashville songwriter; and Larry
\nSparks, UM vice chancellor for administration and finance.
\n<\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n“We have hundreds of students excited about networking with
\nsuccessful Ole Miss alumni, friends and Oxford
\nprofessionals,” said SAC adviser Sheila Dossett, assistant
\ndirector of alumni affairs. “We hope you will join us for
\nthis important event.”
\n<\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\nBridging the Gap won an award for Most Outstanding External
\nProgram at this year’s Association of Student Advancement
\nPrograms District III Conference.
\n<\/span>\n<\/p>\n
