OXFORD, Miss. – Members of the University of Mississippi
\nand Oxford community are invited to celebrate the life of
\nUPD Officer Robert Langley at an informal memorial service
\nSunday (Oct. 21) at Paris-Yates Chapel.<\/span>
\n
<\/p>\n

\nThe service begins at 7 p.m. UPD Chief Jeff Van Slyke and
\nTim Rutledge of the Mississippi Law Enforcement Alliance
\nfor Peer Support, or MS LEAPS, are scheduled to speak at
\nthe service. Other UPD officers also are expected to speak,
\nsaid Barbara Reynolds, administrative coordinator for
\nUniversity Police and Campus Safety.
\n<\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\nSunday marks the first anniversary of Langleys death. He
\nwas killed while assisting a routine traffic stop in
\nOxford.
\n<\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\nMS LEAPS is a team of trained law enforcement agents
\ntrained to help in times of tragedy. For more information,
