\nOXFORD, Miss. – A Boston College law professor plans to
\ndiscuss the failure of corporate law during a Nov. 1
\nlecture at the University of Mississippi.
\n<\/span>\n<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

\nKent Greenfield, professor of law and law fund research
\nscholar, speaks at 1 p.m. in the Lamar Law Center’s William
\nN. Ethridge Jr. Moot Court Room.
\n<\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\nGreenfield teaches and researches in the areas of business
\nlaw and constitutional law. His publishing includes journal
\narticles in the Yale Law Journal, Virginia Law Review,
\nBoston College Law Review, George Washington Law Review and
\nTulane Law Review.
\n<\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\nHe authored the book “The Failure of Corporate Law” and is
\nthe founder and president of the Forum for Academic and
\nInstitutional Rights. He received his undergraduate degree
\nfrom Brown University and juris doctorate from the
\nUniversity of Chicago.
\n<\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\nUM law dean Samuel M. Davis said Greenfield’s lecture
\npromises to be informative and interesting to people from a
\nvariety of fields.
\n<\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n“Professor Greenfield is an outstanding scholar and one of
\nthe most widely quoted and influential spokespersons in the
\nfield of corporate reform in the country,” Davis said. “We
\nare delighted to have a person of his caliber visiting the
\nlaw school and look forward to his visit with great
