Ole Miss has a rich history of honoring alums by adding their names to the various buildings around campus. Recently, the indoor practice facility was renamed the Olivia and Archie Manning Athletics Performance Center. And soon the name of another famous Ole Miss alum will be added to basketball practice facility.<\/p>\n

The Tuohy Basketball Center, a 51,000-sqare foot facility, will be named after former Ole Miss basketball player, Sean Tuohy. Although Sean was inducted into the Ole Miss Sports Hall of Fame in 1998, he is also known for more than his skills on the Ole Miss hardwood. His family is the subject of the book and Oscar winning movie, \u201cThe Blind Side.\u201d<\/p>\n

Tuohy\u2019s wife Leigh Anne, daughter Collins and adopted son Michael Oher are all Ole Miss alums. And the family has continually supported the university. In fact, Leigh Anne was the recipient of the Ole Miss Women\u2019s Council for Philanthropy\u2019s Legacy Award in 2010.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are awfully proud,\u201d Sean Touhy told the Memphis Commercial Appeal. \u201cOle Miss is a big part of our lives.\u201d<\/p>\n
