Clara Rock, an adviser in the Office of Financial Aid at the UM regional campuses in Tupelo and Booneville, has been selected as Staff Council’s Staff Member of the Month for August. To help us get to know her better, Rock answered a few questions for Inside Ole Miss.<\/p>\n

IOM<\/strong>: How long have you worked at Ole Miss?<\/p>\n

Rock<\/strong>: Three years.<\/p>\n

IOM<\/strong>: Where is your hometown?<\/p>\n

Rock<\/strong>: Tremont, Mississippi.<\/p>\n

IOM<\/strong>: What is your favorite Ole Miss memory?<\/p>\n

Rock<\/strong>: My favorite Ole Miss memory would have to be seeing my students that I helped assist with their financial aid graduate with their degrees and go on to pursue corporate jobs in the workforce. Nothing makes me happier than seeing our students be successful.<\/p>\n

IOM<\/strong>: What do you enjoy most about your position or the department in which you work?<\/p>\n

Rock:<\/strong>\u00a0I enjoy the satisfaction of helping the students complete their educational goals financially.<\/p>\n

IOM<\/strong>: What is one thing on your bucket list?<\/p>\n

Rock<\/strong>: To visit Hawaii, one day.<\/p>\n

IOM<\/strong>: What do you like to do when you are not at work?<\/p>\n

Rock<\/strong>: When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family.<\/p>\n

IOM<\/strong>: What is your favorite movie?<\/p>\n

Rock<\/strong>: “License to Drive”<\/p>\n

IOM<\/strong>: What are three words you would use to describe yourself?<\/p>\n

Rock<\/strong>: Optimistic, driven and passionate.<\/p>\n
