{"id":44251,"date":"2014-10-22T12:47:08","date_gmt":"2014-10-22T17:47:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/news.olemiss.edu\/?p=44251"},"modified":"2014-10-22T13:41:25","modified_gmt":"2014-10-22T18:41:25","slug":"wapt-ummc-staff-trained-to-treat-ebola","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/web20.olemiss.edu\/news\/wordpress\/wapt-ummc-staff-trained-to-treat-ebola\/","title":{"rendered":"WAPT: UMMC Staff Trained to Treat Ebola"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span class=\" authorLocation\">JACKSON, Miss. \u2014<\/span>The University of Mississippi Medical Center is training its staff to treat and avoid catching Ebola.<\/p>\n<p>Doctors and nurses are working to recognize the symptoms of the virus to keep it from spreading further.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;You know, you never want to jinx yourself, but we are about as prepared as we can be,&#8221; said Jonathan Wilson, UMMC&#8217;s chief administrative officer.<\/p>\n<p>Eighty percent of UMMC&#8217;s doctors and nurses are receiving enhanced training on Ebola response.
