The J.D. Williams Library is getting into the\u00a0Halloween spirit with hidden library tours\u00a0offering sneak peaks of parts of the library not commonly seen.<\/p>\n
Tours include a\u00a0presentation of the history of the library, a “petting zoo” of rare and unusual library items and a walking tour of\u00a0interesting\u00a0areas normally accessible only to staff. The walking tour will include the mezzanine levels and the library’s hidden “floors between floors.”<\/p>\n
“People think they know the library, but many of them have never gone beyond the Starbucks line; that’s where we come in,” said Alex Watson, reference librarian and associate professor.<\/p>\n
There are two tours offered for this event on Oct. 29 at 3 p.m. and Oct. 30 at 4 p.m. There is no cost and no age limit, and the tour stars in the library classroom 106E.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
