\"unnamed\"<\/a>The University of Mississippi has been in Oxford for 166 years and construction is ongoing.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s because Ole Miss is constantly improving. The university has $230 million in projects that are either underway\u00a0or out for bid, and $206 million of new facilities are on the drawing board.<\/p>\n

Among those major improvements are renovations to the Student Union, Honors College and the construction of new athletics facilities and academic and research space.<\/p>\n

The Student Union is undergoing a $50 million renovation that will increase the dining area and add new student government offices, a ballroom and conference space. The Union features\u00a097,000 square feet and will increase to about 157,000 square feet over the next four years.<\/p>\n

The Honors College will double in size over the next year, with a 13,000 square foot addition that includes new classrooms and designated study space.<\/p>\n

And of course, there\u2019s the Forward Together campaign, which includes a brand new 9,500-seat basketball arena, a parking garage and the expansion of the north end zone at\u00a0Vaught-Hemingway Stadium. The parking garage is on track to open in January and the arena is expected to be open next season for SEC play.<\/p>\n
