\"29_DAYS-THANKS_2\"<\/a>The university is tucked away in the wonderful, small town of Oxford, Mississippi.<\/p>\n

And we love it.<\/p>\n

Oxford was established in hopes of bringing an institution of higher learning to the city. And in 1848, it did. Oxford is known across the country as one of the best small towns to visit.<\/p>\n

Known for its food and art, Oxford merges with university culture to create the perfect college-town experience. In fact, many\u00a0alumni continue to visit Oxford throughout the year.\u00a0Whether it be for sporting events, the Double Decker Arts Festival, a signing at Square Books or a meal at one of John Currence\u2019s fine restaurants, former students just can\u2019t stay away.<\/p>\n

Oxford and Ole Miss are very much part of each other. Many events throughout the year, such as the Homecoming parade and Square Jam, are held in the downtown Oxford Square.<\/p>\n
