“American Idol” held auditions June 30 on the Ole Miss<\/a> campus, drawing a crowd of about 1,500 people to the Student Union plaza.<\/p>\n

For the show\u2019s 15th and final season, “Idol” brought its bus tour auditions to Oxford for one final stop. Hundreds of aspiring stars from around the region came to campus to sing for producers in hopes of becoming the next \u2013 and last \u2013 American Idol.<\/p>\n

Producers heard about 450 contestants audition for the show, but only 30 received a pass to the winner\u2019s circle, which means they are headed to the next round of auditions.<\/p>\n
