The narrative examines personal resilience, medicine\u2019s relationship to the female body, society\u2019s response to pregnancy loss, and reproductive politics.<\/p>\n<p>Readers have described the story as \u201celoquent\u201d and \u201cbeautiful.\u201d Research and writing took more than six months, followed by a lengthy submission and editing process.<\/p>\n<p>This is Gregory\u2019s second published piece with\u00a0<em>Harper\u2019s<\/em>, a magazine celebrated for its fine writing and original thought.
