A family-friendly production of ‘Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat’ \u00a0xomes to the Ford Center.<\/p><\/div>\n

OXFORD, Miss. \u2013 The Gertrude C. Ford Center for the Performing Arts will continue its Ford Series Tuesday (Sept. 29) with a family-friendly production of “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.”<\/p>\n

The musical, created by Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber, tells the Biblical story of Joseph, who went from being sold by his brothers into slavery to rescuing the nation of Israel from a famine.<\/p>\n

“‘Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat’ is such a fun way to start the Ford Series,” said Kate Meacham, Ford Center marketing director. “It is a classic story and a great show for the whole family. Everyone should have a great time.”<\/p>\n

The performance is directed and choreographed by Tony Award winner Andy Blankenbuehler and reimagines the trials and triumphs of Joseph, his 11 brothers and the coat of many colors.<\/p>\n

The performance begins at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $55 for the balcony, $61 for the box and mezzanine and $66.50 for the orchestra and parterre levels.
