102 runners competed in the 2nd Annual Rebel Trail Challenge Nov. 14.<\/p><\/div>\n

Ole Miss Campus Recreation<\/a> had yet another successful Rebel Trail Challenge, raising more than $2,000 for student scholarships.<\/p>\n

On Nov. 14, 102 runners tackled the second annual challenge, which included conquering several obstacles along a 4-mile course at the South Campus Rail Trail on Chucky Mullins Drive.<\/p>\n

“We hope to make this event better each year by adding more obstacles and refining the course logistics,” said Shannon Richardson, assistant director of campus recreation for Ole Miss Outdoors. “It is our hope that this race will continue to provide a fun, safe and adventurous challenge for the Ole Miss and Oxford community.”<\/p>\n

Obstacles included scaling a wall, rope climbing and running through tires.<\/p>\n

“The course was great, obstacles were challenging and fun and the volunteers were amazing,” said Allison Nooe, a UM graduate student and runner. “I was astonished at how many there were and how quickly race results were announced. Everything about that morning will be one of my fondest memories at Ole Miss.”<\/p>\n

All proceeds from the race go to the Bill Kingery Outstanding Student Scholarship fund to benefit student employees of Ole Miss Campus Recreation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
