It’s getting closer, y’all! Just a few weeks away!<\/p>\n

The University of Mississippi’s new, state-of-the-art $96.5 million Pavilion at Ole Miss<\/a> will open Jan. 7 as the Ole Miss men’s basketball team takes on Alabama for its SEC opener.<\/p>\n

But this isn’t just any ol’ basketball arena. The Pavilion will house the largest center-hung video display board in all of college sports, for starters. It will also include a 2,255-square-foot space for retail and a food court, which will bring Steak ‘n Shake<\/a> and Raising Cane’s to Oxford.<\/p>\n

The arena also includes a cutting-edge, fiber-enabled Wi-Fi lounge, thanks to a partnership with C Spire<\/a>.<\/p>\n

And if that’s not enough first-class amenities, there’s baseline seating for students and three premium club areas with than 1,700 seats at the Pavilion, which has an overall capacity of 9,500.<\/p>\n

The Pavilion also will serve as a concert venue that will be christened when Brad Paisley<\/a> brings his Country Nation College Tour through Oxford on Jan. 24. The show is free to students and the public.<\/p>\n
