\"Annie14_Poster_Logo-edited-for-web-300x135\"<\/a>The Gertrude C. Ford Center for the Performing Arts<\/a> is bringing the national Broadway tour of the beloved Tony award-winning musical\u00a0“Annie”\u00a0<\/em>to the University of Mississippi this month.<\/p>\n

The show is slated for one performance, at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday (Jan. 20). Tickets are $55 for balcony seating, $61 for the mezzanine and box tier 2 and $66.50 for orchestra, parterre and box tier 1 seating. They can be purchased at the UM Box Office<\/a> inside the Ole Miss Student Union<\/a> or online at http:\/\/www.fordcenter.org<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The production, directed by original lyricist and director Martin Charnin and choreographed by Liza Gennaro, is a brand-new incarnation of the iconic tale of Little Orphan Annie.<\/p>\n

“‘Annie’ is a wonderful family musical,” said Julia Aubrey, interim director of the Ford Center. “We are thrilled to be able to bring this production to Oxford.”<\/p>\n

The performance features unforgettable songs such as “It’s a Hard Knock Life,” “Easy Street” and the anthem of optimism, “Tomorrow.”<\/p>\n

“Annie”\u00a0<\/em>was deemed “Spectacular on every count” by\u00a0Newsweek,\u00a0and “Overflowing! Big, warm-hearted and funny!” by the\u00a0New York Post.<\/p>\n
