\n\"redblue.jpg\"OXFORD, Miss. – Annual Red & Blue Week at the University of
\nMississippi kicks off Monday (April 7) with various events
\nculminating in Saturday’s Grove Bowl.
\n<\/span>\n<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

\nStudent entertainment, including a Texas hold ’em poker
\ntournament, a rock climbing wall and a shooting range, are
\noffered Monday through Friday at the Student Union. Music
\nand a Greek showcase are also planned. Red & Blue T-shirts
\nare to be sold each day 10 a.m.-2 p.m. in the Student
\nUnion.
\n<\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n“We are excited to have such a variety of events scheduled
\nduring Red & Blue Week,” said Bradley Baker, program
\ncoordinator with Campus Programming. “This tends to be one
\nof our most popular weeklong events since the majority of
\nour events take place outdoors. Both the weather and campus
\nbeauty tend to bring students out in larger numbers than
\nour other events during the spring.”
\n<\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\nAt 10:45 a.m. Saturday (April 12), the football team makes
\nits celebratory trek through the Grove on the Walk of
\nChampions that will include head Coach Houston Nutt; Super
\nBowl XLII champion and MVP Eli Manning; and 2007 NFL
\nDefensive Rookie of the Year and All-Pro Patrick Willis.
\nThe pre-game awards ceremony honoring Manning and Willis,
\namong others, is set for 12:30 p.m. in Vaught-Hemingway
\nStadium, followed by the Red & Blue spring football game.
\n<\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\nChildren’s activities, including a football throw, baseball
\npitch and moonwalk, start at 10 a.m. in the Grove.
\n<\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\nOther Saturday athletic activities include a track and
\nfield invitational 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and a tennis game against
\nMississippi State at 11 a.m. A softball series is planned
\nwith Vanderbilt at 10 a.m. and with Memphis at 5 p.m. The
\nbaseball game versus Vanderbilt is set for 4 p.m., with
\nManning and Willis throwing the first pitches at 3:50 p.m.

\nThe 19th annual Chucky Mullins Courage Award Banquet is set
\nfor 6 p.m. Friday at the Indoor Practice Facility. It is
\nsponsored by Phi Beta Sigma and Phi Kappa Psi fraternities,
\nand tickets are available at the UM Box Office in the
\nStudent Union or online at
\n<\/span>\n<\/p>\n
