\nOXFORD, Miss. – The University of Mississippi’s most
\noutstanding students received recognition as the school
\nhosted its 65th Honors Day Convocation on April 3, where
\nGregory Schirmer was honored as the 2008 Elsie M. Hood
\nTeacher of the Year. Last years recipient of the award,
\nDavid Willson, UM band director, was the keynote speaker.
\n<\/span>\n<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

\nAlso, new members were inducted to Phi Beta Kappa, the
\nnation’s oldest and most prestigious liberal arts honor
\nsociety, on April 4.
\n<\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\nIn separate ceremonies, students were honored with Marcus
\nElvis Taylor Memorial Medals and new members were inducted
\ninto Phi Kappa Phi honor society.
\n<\/span>\n<\/p>\n
