Micah Bowen<\/p><\/div>\n

Micah Bowen, ID Center coordinator, has been selected as Staff Council’s Staff Member of the Month for July. To help us get to know her better, she answered a few questions for Inside Ole Miss.<\/p>\n

IOM:<\/strong> How long have you worked at Ole Miss?<\/p>\n

Bowen:<\/strong> I started at the ID Center as a student worker in 2002 and became full time in 2004.<\/p>\n

IOM:<\/strong> What is your hometown?<\/p>\n

Bowen:<\/strong> Oxford, Mississippi. <\/p>\n

IOM:<\/strong> Talk about your favorite Ole Miss memory.<\/p>\n

Bowen:<\/strong> Attending softball games with my daughter, Morgan.<\/p>\n

IOM:<\/strong> What do you enjoy most about your position or the department in which you work?<\/p>\n

Bowen:<\/strong> At the ID Center, we don’t see a specific group of people; we see everyone! Because of this, there’s always something new and interesting to look forward to daily.<\/p>\n

IOM:<\/strong> What do you like to do when you are not at work?<\/p>\n

Bowen:<\/strong> Spend time outdoors, enjoy family life, draw.<\/p>\n

IOM:<\/strong> What is one thing on your bucket list?<\/p>\n

Bowen<\/strong>: I want to take my children to visit Washington, D.C.<\/p>\n

IOM:<\/strong> What is your favorite movie?<\/p>\n

Bowen:<\/strong> “Dirty Dancing.”<\/p>\n

IOM:<\/strong> What is your favorite Ole Miss tradition?<\/p>\n

Bowen:<\/strong> Fireworks at the baseball stadium on Independence Day. <\/p>\n

IOM:<\/strong> What is a fun fact about you? <\/p>\n

Bowen:<\/strong> I collect rare American currency and coins from foreign countries.<\/p>\n

IOM:<\/strong> If you could have lunch with anyone alive or dead\/fictional or real, who would it be and why?<\/p>\n

Bowen:<\/strong> Benjamin Franklin, due to his scientific and political achievements and his status as one of America’s founding fathers.<\/p>\n

IOM:<\/strong> What are three words you would use to describe yourself?<\/p>\n

Bowen:<\/strong> Driven, loyal, creative.<\/p>\n

IOM:<\/strong> If you could visit one time or place in world history, what would it be?<\/p>\n

Bowen:<\/strong> Ancient Egypt.<\/p>\n

IOM:<\/strong> If I could be an animal for a day, I would be a(n) ____ .<\/p>\n
