OXFORD, Miss. \u2013 When “LMR Live” host Nancy Maria Balach sits down with a guest, she creates an instant rapport and an energy that delights viewers of the live-streamed talk show. Her guests are typically professional musicians, and the conversation ranges from their ideas about music and current projects to their experiences as working professional musicians.<\/p>\n

Up next on “LMR Live,” Balach will interview pianist and composer Paul Sanchez, soprano Kayleen Sanchez and Tiffany Gammel, a singer, arts administrator and former University of Mississippi<\/a> music student. The guests will discuss how to build a successful music career.<\/p>\n

For the first time, the show, a production of the Living Music Resource at the UM Department of Music<\/a>, will be broadcast from the Chancellor’s House Hotel, just off the Oxford Square. It is set for 7:30 p.m. Thursday (Feb. 28).<\/p>\n

“We’re excited about the move to the beautiful library at the Chancellor’s House Hotel,” said Balach, UM associate professor of music and founder of the Living Music Resource. “The intimate conversational atmosphere there is perfect for the feel of our show.”<\/p>\n

The more limited seating, however, means that tickets will be in high demand. “LMR Live” is holding a lottery for free tickets on its Facebook and Instagram pages \u2013 @livmusres and @lmr_olemiss \u2013 and a special live screening will be conducted in Nutt Auditorium for the spillover crowd.<\/p>\n

As always, “LMR Live” will be streamed online live at http:\/\/livingmusicresource.com\/<\/a>. Viewers tune in from around the country and abroad, and are able to submit questions online to the guests.<\/p>\n

Kayleen Sanchez<\/p><\/div>\n

Besides Balach and managing director Brady Bramlett, the LMR staff is composed of Ole Miss music majors. The lively talk show appeals to community members who have an interest in music, as well as music students looking ahead to a professional career.<\/p>\n

Sanchez also will perform in a free concert at 7:30 p.m. Saturday (March 2) in Nutt Auditorium. Free and open to the public, “An Evening with Paul Sanchez” will feature Sanchez performing his works on piano with his muse, soprano Kayleen Sanchez, singing.<\/p>\n

The concert also will feature Gammell, UM music faculty members Balach, Brad Robinson and Michael Rowlett, and Ole Miss students Maddi Jolley, Cailtin Richardson and Carley Wilemon.<\/p>\n
